About this Talk:
Some of our best and grandest ideas can come from doing things we enjoy. For Aaron Hefter, his ardent days of working as an employee at a major nutrition retailer while studying at York University led to his passion for sports nutrition supplements. Hefter soon realized that there was a gap in the Canadian market for premium sports supplements and at the age of 22, he left school and put $10,000 on his credit card to start a company, Nutrabolics, with his long-time high school friend and business partner. Fast-forward nearly two decades and Nutrabolics is successfully distributed in over 40 different countries and has sponsored some of the top athletes in the world, most recently UFC Champion Khabib Nurmagamedov.
Join us for this candid interview with Hefter where we dive deep into how he made the decision to take the leap and start his business, overcoming many hurdles along the way. We will be sharing key lessons from Hefter’s journey and get an insightful look into the world of entrepreneurship from a founder who has been through it all.
In 2002, Aaron established Nutrabolics with his business partner, Jayson Wyner. Nutrabolics is a premium sports nutrition company distributed in 50+ countries, and has sponsored some of the biggest athletes in the world, most recently UFC Champion Khabib Nurmagamedov. Aaron is the Chief Formulator at Nutrabolics, and has developed ~100 unique dietary supplements.
In 2020, Aaron founded The Beauty Candy, the first-ever PETA-certified Vegan & Cruelty-Free Ingestible Skincare Brand. The Beauty Candy goes to market April, 2021. In 2014, Aaron made Business in Vancouver’s 24th annual Top 40 under 40 list. In 2015, Aaron was a finalist for EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year.
